Is the mileage allowance per day or per rental period Open
The allowance shown on personalization and confirmation screen is for the whole rental period.
What happens if I exceed the mileage / kilometers booked with the car? Open
Additional mileage will be charged at €0.3 per additional kilometer (respectively £0.3 per additional mile for rentals taking place in the UK).
Can the additional drivers unlock and lock the car with their phone? Open
The car is locked/unlocked with a virtual key that is downloaded on the main driver's phone.
Just like a real key, this virtual key can be used by only one person at a time.
Additional drivers can of course request the virtual key to be transferred to their phone at any time.
Please note that, while it is not necessary to have internet to connect to the car, it is required to request the transfer of the virtual key to your phone.
Do the cars have the Swiss Motorway sticker (40 CHF) ? Open
Is the second driver allowed to be under the age of 26 if the first driver is above the age of 26? Open
No, that is not possible. For insurance reasons every driver must have the minimum age required to drive the car.
Please note age limitation is different depending on the car and the location where the rental takes place. The minimum age will be displayed during the booking process.
Are UFODRIVE cars accepted in the 'LEZ' (low emission zone) of Brussels? Open
Yes, all our cars are electric and therefore 0 emissions. As a consequence they are authorised in Brussels low emission zone.
Can I drive to another EU country? Open
What's the smoking policy of UFODRIVE? Open
Smoking is forbidden in UFODRIVE cars.
If I get a fine, how does it work? Open
The national authorities will contact you directly.
What happens if I exceed the national speed limits? Open
National speed limits and general traffic rules apply at all times. It is your obligation to drive carefully and observe all speed limits. Any speeding fines incurred plus an administration fee will be charged back to you.
Where do I return my car? Open
The car park address is registered as home address in your car. Follow the instructions on the app to find the way.
Once back at the UFOBAY simply follow the APP process to close your rental.
How do I contact UFODRIVE roadside assistance? Open
During a rental, UFODRIVE 24/7 assistance can be found in the app, in the Help section, as chat or direct call. Our operators will redirect you to the roadside assistance if required.
How will I unlock the car? Open
Your phone is your key. You will unlock the car using the UFODRIVE app. Just follow the instructions on the APP to lock and unlock the car.
Do I need to inspect the car at the start of my rental? Open
Yes, the app will guide you through the process.
Will someone assist me if I need help? Open
Yes, UFODRIVE is a 24/7 service. We are accessible by phone during a rental or by chat through the app or our website.
How do I use the app to retrieve and unlock the car? What happens? Open
The app will guide you from Arrivals to the UFObay. Follow the instructions on your phone screen: "Find my car".
