WESTFIELD LONDON LAUNCHES THREE-YEAR PARTNERSHIP WITH FULLY SUSTAINABLE CAR HIRE SERVICE UFODRIVE
UFODRIVE’s latest partnership to include new electric car parking bays, experiential activations, extensive media support and co-marketing and retailer engagement
LONDON, Wednesday 7th July: Industry-first, fully sustainable car hire service, UFODRIVE and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW), are delighted to launch a new three-year partnership, to provide 24/7 contactless, fully electric, sustainable car hire for customers at Westfield London.
The partnership is the first time UFODRIVE has partnered with another brand on location in the UK to offer truly convenient and fast car rental services.
As part of the long-term partnership, UFODRIVE now has a 360° platform at both centres to engage with new consumers, including six electric car parking bays, experiential activations, static and digital media, co-marketing and retailer engagement, as the leading operator of flagship destinations continues to look for new and innovative ways to bring experience-based brands into its centres.
UFODRIVE strives to make car rental simple, easy, fast, convenient and classically cool. With a 100% electric fleet, customers travel in sustainable style, choosing from a wide offering of premium electric cars including the Tesla Model S, Jaguar I-Pace, Audi E-Tron and more.
Car hire costs from just £64 per day and a UFODRIVE car can be rented for an unlimited number of days. Users can then drop their car back at Westfield London or can have their car collected, for an additional fee. While you must return your car to the UFOBay the rental was booked from, you can use this spot in Westfield London to park and charge for the duration of your bookings.
Westfield shoppers will be able to access UFO vehicles via the smartphone UFODRIVE App to experience a seamless and incredible electric ride. Shoppers will be able to either collect or charge their cars from any six of the electric car parking bays located on either level -2 or level 2 of the car park, nearby lobby lift 3. The UFODRIVE app allows customers to avoid the usual delays and stress of car rental through keyless access technology.
The partnership sees Westfield continue to look at ways to better serve its local communities in line with its Better Places 2030 Strategy and respond to consumer’s changing needs. Recent research from its How We Shop report revealed that sustainability remains a key concern for consumers, with shoppers looking for both affordable and eco-friendly ways to update their lives, homes and wardrobes. In addition, half of UK consumers (52%) told Westfield they are interested in experiences offered at shopping centres, making the UFO partnership a perfect solution in the ever-evolving retail landscape.
